SPR - Amsterdam
The Single Case Archive team will attend the 49th International Annual Meeting of the Society for Psychotherapy Research in Amsterdam. Liza Notaerts will give a talk on the historic evolution of the case study method in the field of psychotherapy, based on her experience of reading hundreds of case studies in the past year and a half. She will discuss changes in the case study method over the past decades in terms of its methodology and content, and what that might mean for future case study research. Juri Krivzov will present one of the first case-based metasynthesis conducted on the Archive. His study deals with therapeutic change in patients with medically unexplained disorders, and is currently being conducted as a part of the Master's Thesis of our research assistant Dewi Hannon.
