On June 7 we will present the Single Case Archive at the annual conference of the Society for the Exploration of Psychotherapy Integration (SEPI) in Barcelona. We are convinced that the single case approach can contribute much to the objective of this society, which is reflected in the title of the conference: "Psychotherapy integration: Research and Clinicians working together towards convergence". In our symposium, we will list the methodological benefits of single case research over group-based research, we will show how the Single Case Archive can be used, and we will summarize the case studies that are now included in the archive. The Single Case Archive contributes to the field of single case research as it allows to identify relatively homogeneous sets of case studies. The comparison of multiple, similar cases allows for the replication and generalization of research findings from single case studies. We will demonstrate this shortly in a multiple case study design.
