Between March 2013 and November 2013 we contacted all authors from case studies in the Single Case Archive to inquire about their psychoanalytic orientation at the time they were working with this patient. We informed about which psychoanalytic school they felt most attached to and which authors influenced their work the most. 45% of the contacted authors responded (i.e. 200 out of 455 authors). This inquiry will inform about which psychoanalytic schools are most prevailing in the field of published case studies. We hope to publish the results of this study later this year. Moreover, this inquiry will lead to an additional tool within the search engine of the Single Case Archive (contact us for more information).
